KC Presh

Popular musical group, KC PRESH is living up to its superstar status and this is authoritative. Everything around them is a sign that the Nigerian entertainment industry is paying off. From sun up to sun down, the cast and crew gave 100%.

Funke Ogunde (Nigeria)
Studio 53 caught up with Funke Ogende in Nigeria. Nigeria has always been known for it’s innovative indigenes, and it seems more prominent with the innovative enterprises that seem to be cropping up by the minute. Nigerians are Crazy about Fashion, so it only makes sense that this industry keeps booming, thus improving. Introducing Funke Ogunde, designer of Phunk Afrique – a design label based in Lagos, Nigeria they “design clothes to help you get noticed”. Their clothes have a touch of simplicity, but also a chic, retro and elegant feel to it with Afro diffusion. Auberge Michel (SA)
When you are in Johannesburg and you are in the mood for the finest French cuisine and you are only prepared to rub shoulders with Africa’s who’s’ who, such as top politicians to business women to those fabulous celebrities, Auberge Michel is your place. Grace and Studio 53 paid a visit to this top class restaurant. We got an opportunity to chat to Michel Mornad and Business man Vusi Sithole who run this renowned French restaurant, which is set in the heart of Johannesburg. This restaurant promises to offer nothing but elegance, fine dinning and pure sophistication with an accredited 5 star status. With every great meal a great glass of wine is needed to compliment it. Lunches are held on the patio and on special occasion’s picnics are packed and one could sit out on the lawn listening to a symphony orchestra. This is a restaurant you have to dine in

Studio 53 visited Oscar Ncube, who hails from Gauteng, has been riding since he was six years old. But to become the best in this sport, you need to be trained up, as it’s a little more difficult than many may think. Oscar now rides with top South African show jumper, Barry Taylor who is passing on all his training and tricks of the trade. The show jumping championships of South Africa were staged in the heart of the city of Durban, followed by the World Cup Qualifier. This ‘City of Durban Sunshine Tour’ featured the country’s top riders, and Oscar is determined to stake his claim on that list. This tour will have many happy memories for him. These events will offer him the opportunity to further his ultimate dream of becoming an Olympic show jumper, to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games – and he’ll be the first black rider to do so.
