204x_mg_d_mavisTHE DREAM of Mentor 4’s to have her name become a household one in the Ghanaian gospel music industry is gradually coming to pass with the release of her maiden album ‘Obaatan’.

, a new entrant in the music industry, was discovered a few years back by TV3’s Mentor 4. She promised to take Ghanaian music to the ‘promised land’.

She happens to be one of the few young musicians in the country who are working tirelessly to keep the flame of gospel music burning, as well as promote the genre on the African continent.

has developed a strong passion for spreading the gospel of Christ through music. Her 10-track album is a great delight to listen to, as the lyrics focus on real life issues.

The lyrics of the album and her good vocal power are neatly arranged with sensational and inspirational rhythms, making the album unique and pleasing to the ear.

With her presence in the music scene, has promised to run things in a different dimension with support from Abruku Abruka of Testimony House Chapel International based at Sowutuom, a suburb of Accra.

According to her, ‘Obaatan’ has what it takes to bring the heavens down and empower you to burst into worship.

As a young talented gospel music star, has been groomed into a complete entertainer who does not only possess a silky voice, but also knows how and when to make her fans happy and come close to God.

Her contribution to the music industry in Ghana would undoubtedly add to the rich repertoire of musical works that the country already has.

Her title song, ‘Obaatan’, a mid-tempo gospel tune, often referred to as music for the masses, enjoys considerable air play.

Some of the tracks on the album include ‘Aseda’, ‘Gyae Su’ and ‘Ma Menya Nkwa’, to mention few. By George Clifford Owusu
