Marcel Desailly Must Apply For Black Stars Job – Kwesi Nyantakyi

After refusing to coach the Black Stars when it was offered to him on a silver platter on two occasions, the Ghana FA said former France captain Marcel Desailly has to apply for the vacant position if he is interested.

President Kwesi Nyantakyi told Ghanasoccernet.com the position is open for all and the FA would adhere to its appointing process.

“I met at an informal function and we [Desailly and Nyantakyi] talked informally about the job,” he said.

“I must admit that it was nothing serious but if he’s interested then he must apply like others have done. We have to go through the process to name a new coach.”
The Ghanaian-born retired French international has made his intensions known to take up the Black Stars job following coach Milovan Rajevac’s decision to relinquish it.
