AFCON 2012 Qualifier: Swaziland 0-3 Ghana
Hans Adu-Sarpei scores his first international goal in the 81st minute as Ghana cruise to a 3-0 over Swaziland in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations opener.
The new Schalke 04 signing joined the attack and profited from a poor clearance in the Swazi goal area and curled it neatly to score a rare goal.
Dede Ayew opened the scoring for Ghana on 13 minutes by connecting Kwadwo Asamoah’s cross from the left inside the box.
Prince Tagoe blasted from 19-yards to double Ghana’s.
The Hoffenheim forward was teed-up by Asamoah Gyan close to the penalty box and Tagoe powerful carpet shot to beat the Swaziland goalkeeper.
Prince Tagoe’s header struck the cross-bar in the 44th minute and Kevin-Boateng rebound was cleared off the line by a Swazi defender.
On the stroke of the interval, unmarked Tagoe inside the box failed to connect a cross from the left but was disrupted by a Dede Ayew’s phantom.
