Take God Seriously… Commander Urges Policemen

Rev. DCOP David Ampah Bennin, Volta Regional Police Commander yesterday made a passionate appeal to all Commanders across the country to take God seriously in order to successfully carry out their assignments. “God is the source of success in all endeavours therefore we as the Police must worship him with zeal if we want to achieve anything and be successful in life,” he said emphatically.
Preaching a sermon entitled “Living for Eternity” at the Police Church in Accra yesterday, Rev. DCOP Ampah Bennin, who was a member of the church before his transfer to the Regions said “there is the need to know God as Christians rather than worrying about what to wear to church and what not to wear. We should have faith in God instead doing things with our own strength” Quoting copiously from the Holy Bible, he charged Christians to identify their purpose in life in order to lead a meaningful life full of strength and vitality and pleasing to God.

“We can’t live life without knowing where we are going” he added Rev. DCOP Ampah Bennin, maintained that “Service to God is service to mankind, so why do you want to fall short in your assignments to God and country?” he asked the congregation. “Looking at things that are happening in the world today it is evident that the end-time is near. We all need God fervently, let us forsake the things of this world and worship Him with diligence, seriousness and in our assignments.”
He therefore called on all persons to uphold their faith in God and trust in him. “Today, people who call themselves Christians have turned away from the teachings of the gospel and are doing things that are not Christ-like so we all have a responsibility to draw everyone back to the scriptures,” he concluded.
