204x_mg_csv_ghanaflag203Zimbabwe top-flight side CAPS United, eager to leave a mark in the Confederation Cup next year, have added two more Ghanaian players on their books ahead of the start of the continent’s second tier competition.

CAPS United have been busy on the transfer market as they seek to assemble a strong squad that will be good enough to challenge for honours both on the domestic and continental fronts.

Although neither Makepekepe operations director Farai Jere nor club chief executive Maxwell Mironga could be reached for comment yesterday.

Sources close to the club revealed that CAPS United had signed a 19-year-old defender Paul Donkor.

Donko was playing for Kumasi-based Premiership side Kessben FC.

The Harare giants have also brought in 23-year-old striker Frank Adda who was turning out for Ghana Premiership side Bechem Chelsea.

The pair who are joining CAPS United on three-year contracts are understood to be now just awaiting the arrival of their international transfer certificates from the Ghana Football Association.

Donko and Adda were part of a four-man contingent from Ghana that had a trial stint at CAPS United in a deal facilitated by Ben Owusu, brother to former Makepekepe and Dynamos midfielder George Owusu.

However, it was the duo of Donkor and Adda who impressed coach Lloyd Chitembwe and his assistant Mike Madzivanyika.

They are now expected to be part of the CAPS United squad when Chitembwe’s men regroup for pre-season training on January 5.
