Kevin-Prince Boateng believes if he continues to play well for Portsmouth he can make Ghana’s squad for next year’s World Cup in South Africa.
The German-born star was left out of the Black Stars squad for the Nations Cup because his international switch is yet to be approved by Fifa.
Even though he is disappointed to have missed out on Ghana’s squad for the Angola tournament he is confident for the future.
“I’m not unhappy that I’m not there,” he said.
“It would just be unbelievable to be playing there for Ghana but it looks now that I won’t be going so I’m just happy to try to keep Portsmouth up.”
The midfielder feels he can get into the Ghana team after choosing them over Germany.
“Ghana is definitely my future, 100%. I want to play for the Black Stars,” he insisted.
“If I keep going and play well for Portsmouth and we stay up, I think there’s a big chance for me to go to the World Cup.”
