Local clubs in Ghana, whose players feature for the Black Stars at the 2010 World Cup stand the chance of benefiting from a bulk allowance of $40 million provided by FIFA.

The amount will be provided by FIFA through the member associations to the clubs whose players will take part in the mundial as a contribution to their participation in the competition.

The FIFA Executive Committee approved the increase of prize money for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa to $420 million, as compared to $261.4 million in 2006.
