Government says it has not contracted or ordered any cloth from any company be it local or international towards the historic visit of US President Barack Obama as reported in sections of the media.
Last week there were reports in sections of the media that large quantities of clothes branded in President Barack Obama, President Mills, and the two first ladies have been produced and would soon be sold to the public.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, Information Minister Zita Okaikoi stated that ‘any of these productions be it local or international company is unknown to the government.’
The government is however urging companies and individuals seeking to do any kind of souvenirs towards the visit of the US president to Ghana to seek clearance from the publicity committee in charge of President Barack Obama’s visit.
