Tagoe has signed a Puma deal Ghana’s rising star striker Prince Tagoe has landed a highly lucrative sponsorship deal with a sportswear firm.
The 22-year-old striker has signed a one-year deal to wear Puma’s boots after a terrific start to the World Cup qualifiers with the Black Stars.
It is a spin-off from his decision to join German club Hoffenheim.
Puma has not revealed the exact amount but it could put him in the same league as some of Africa’s top players who have signed for Puma.
The deal is believed to have been triggered by his decision to leave Saudi Arabian side Al Ettifaq to join Hoffenheim.
His presence in the German top-flight will guarantee Puma massive publicity while his expected place in the Black Stars squad encouraged the sportswear firm to hand him the deal.
Tagoe is a product of Tudu Mighty Jets successful youth programme and is now making an impact at international level.
Tagoe scored eight goals in the Asian Champions League so far this season before opting to join the German side Hoffenheim.
He has scored three goals so far in the World Cup qualifiers.
